Sydnee's Solo - "The Lord Is My Light"
I have come back to this a few times. I enjoyed this song so much when we sang it at our old church, Red Rocks Baptist in Colorado. The children did well. Thank you for posting this. I miss this kind of music.
Baptist Church
Enjoyed listening to this encouraging anthem, such beautiful lyrics by Cowper. Well done choir too! Thanks to all of you.
Would you please, inform the name of that song, the author--- please-- because I liked and would like to find the music sheet and buy it. -- Thank you.
Faithful Men of GOD🎼🎵🎶♩🎙
Could you please share the piano sheet of this hymn, it is just awesome! Looking forward to your reply. Thank u so much! 355708800@qq.com
Super music
God bless Stepanie; she is a good pianist; she has a bright future
Is it just my script or did they forget that (I forgot her name but the girl director person) says then the dog sees you then the girl dog and takes a step towards her then the actor says can you show this on television?
I sang this song in BJU band camp for our choral selection for the final concert. That was in 2009.
Very, very beautiful.
Nice blend of voices. Enunciation could be clearer.
I'm doing the exact same script it's a duet y'all are really good
Ms. Ziegenhals passed away last Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in Burlington, NC.
Great job!
It's not as fast as when the piece is played by an organ (the way it was written by Bach).
Fantastic!
Beautifully sung! You've got steady hands! :)
1. Sometimes a light surprises the Christian while he sings; It is the Lord, who rises with healing in His wings: When comforts are declining, He grants the soul again A season of clear shining, to cheer it after rain. 2. In holy contemplation we sweetly then pursue The theme of God’s salvation, and find it ever new. Set free from present sorrow, we cheerfully can say, Let the unknown tomorrow bring with it what it may. 3. It can bring with it nothing but He will bear us through; Who gives the lilies clothing will clothe His people, too; Beneath the spreading heavens, no creature but is fed; And He Who feeds the ravens will give His children bread. 4. Though vine nor fig tree neither their wonted fruit should bear, Though all the field should wither, nor flocks nor herds be there; Yet God the same abiding, His praise shall tune my voice, For while in Him confiding, I cannot but rejoice.
Is Stephanie still playing the organ? Would love to hear and see her play more organ music!!
where can I find a free printing script?
Nice job. However, if the organ student wishes to continue on organ.....find an organ teacher..........AND, start wearing shoes. I'm not advising you buy a pair of actual organ shoes (because I think they're too slick) but anyone serious about learning organ needs to break THAT habit, the sooner the better!
Jeff is TOTALLY WRONG!!!! Shoes are NOT necessary to play the organ!!! If you prefer feeling the pedals under your feet, then you should play that way! These OLD "fuddy duddies" and their degrading remarks are so un-cool!!!!
***** I love this video because it demonstrates genuine talent and potential. Having been a professional organist since 1983 and largely self taught, I offer my comments as someone who wished that someone, early on, had made the same comments to me. Try playing the famous Buxtehude Chaconne or any number of the Bach fugues or virtually any of the toccatas from the French Romanticists while NOT wearing shoes and you will be largely regretful of the experience. My comment was intended for anyone seeking technical proficiency with minimal effort - take it or do with it, whatever you like.
Brass needs to play louder!
It would be great to see Stephanie do another organ video, possibly by herself
go to 4:00
Amazing job :)
Such beautiful music! I sometimes wonder if heaven's choirs will be like this in, magnified greatly and even deeper and richer in harmony. Praise the Lord!
i thought they would do exultate by samuel hazo lolz
im playing this in white cloud high school and we are going to state festival on friday
cool
LOVE THIS SONG DOING FOR MARCH CONCERT ASSITANT DIRECTOR MS HARRIS IS DIRECTING IT
Hey I'm going to be playing the oboe solo for my band and I was wondering if anybody had any tips?
those girls are great!!! but in duet acting you are no supposed to use anything except two chairs... my friend and I are doing "acting up' this year too and we just hope for the best. :]
I play first trumpet for this song n I love it! It's amazing! :)
I would love to hear this sung by a strong baritone accompanied by a single acoustic guitar. Where can I get the guitar chords for this hymn? I can find me a singer who loves the Lord. "And adoration leaves no room for pride."
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!! You guys do this beautifully!!!!!!! I'm speechless....
Beautiful song! The choir I'm in just began practicing this...looking forward to singing it. :)
O_O..... Dan Kirsop? He used to be the music director at my previous church.
